I'm not much of a cook, though I can do a passable Sashimi, and I enjoy cooking when I do it. I have been working out of town lately and we rent a set of rooms with a full kitchen in it. I eventually tired of all you can eat buffets and Pizza take out, so now I have gone to skilleting steaks most night. We get a Per Diem when we travel, so I figure heck, live it up.
I love beer, so when I cook I am usually drinking a nice dark Porter or Stout, Fat Tire is as light as I can usually stand. Peppers of all kinds go in the mix, fresh mushrooms, onions, etc. More oil than normal, so I can get it all sauted, then when it is all sizzlin' up real good, in goes the cold beer. Black Toad, Fat Tire, or whatever I have. It starts to get going again, then begins to carmalize a bit. Lots of heat. Then the secret ingredient.
Tiger's Sauce, love the stuff. Put everything in a smaller pan, save a small amount to flavor the meat, in goes the meat.
In the end it is simple, tastes awesome, and makes all the dumbies spending their money on 10 dollar Taco Bell dinner turn their heads. The best part. :D

Here's a pic of the veggies, I am not a food photographer for sure, but it tastes better than it looks.

I need more ideas, give 'em to me. My wife now wants me to cook for her. :smoke:

Drunken chicken, anyone?

Prepare your whole chicken with rub or injection or whatever you like. Open a can of beer and shove up said chicken's ass.

Place on grill or smoker and cover, cooking until done.

Yum! :thmbsp:

Yes! I like brains cooked in beer, preferably my own! We have a local brewer here in KC called Boulevard brewery, I do not know howw far it is distributed, but their wheat beer is mighty fine. OK, I've got brains to cook.

Substitute flat beet for half the liquid the next time you make pancake batter. Tastes great. Believe it or not.

Another vote for "Butt-Can" Chicken & Brats boiled in beer & onions before grilling. The chicken falls right off the bones. Very moist and tender and the brats... Well no need for an explanation there. Add some grilled bell peppers and onions and stuff your face (as I plan to do here shortly). :thmbsp:

Just my 2 beer cans worth...

Beer as the liquid in beef or venison stew or chili is great!

Since I dont like Bratwurst, the only time I use beer in cooking is when adding it to a batter for shrimp.Ive heard beer is great for use when shampooing your hair, espescially if its been dyed Kool-Aid grape.

I second the beer in chili. Preferably your favorite dark beer. Add instead of water. 1 beer in the chili, 5 beers in the cook and serve.
