Just got in a mint copy of Alan Parson's I Robot...wow talk about a head rush. Kind of reliving my past. I was so happy that this record is dead quiet. Buying on Ebay can be a hit or miss proposition. This is a MFSL Original Master Recording and it sounds great, then anything would be better than the 8-track or cassette I had in the 70's.

Friday night I checked out the LPs from garage sales with the Grado 80s (daughter was listening to whatever online next to me)

Arlo Guthrie "Arlo Guthrie"
John Prine "Prime Prine"
Linda Ronstadt "Living in the USA" picture disc
Otis Redding "The Best of Otis Redding"

and my Ebay purchase

Alynsley Dunbar "To Mum, From Aynsley and the Boys"
(great greaser cover, but LP only in fair shape)

Saturday AM listened to "The Best of Steely Dan", Elvin Bishop "Don't Let the Bossman Get You Down", and some Rod Stewart while cruising the neighborhood sales, and Saturday afternoon played Allman Brothers "Eat a Peach" CD with the shop system on mono (L+R) through the ElectroVoice Regency I scored that morning.

Does that Regency look like the one you told me about ?

No. This one is the Korina Blonde version (blond oak). It is the full blown Regency III with the 15W, T25A, 8HD, T35, X8, and X36 though. Hauling it was a trip; I'm glad I had 100' of HD rope in the trunk as it filled it and then some. The cabinet is pretty nice with a few nicks and chips and some staining on the brass; I'll send you some photos of it later. Sure does sound nice though, even in the garage/driveway.

Grumpy:

Here's the side by the controls; there's a few small nicks here.
The top overall looks to be fine and scratch free. Sorry about the dark photos; cloudy day.

Here's a small nick in the top of the face frame; it's about the worst flaw overall, aside from some tarnish on the brass.
