Maynard is the singer for TooL, also A Perfect Circle. He has one of the best voices I`ve ever heard. And he`s just a little squirt.

Lane was the front man for Alice In Chains. Sadly, hes dead.

Hey J,

Try the Rosemary Clooney CD - Do You Miss New York. What great feeling in her voice - she is a very underrated jazz singer - only one clunker song on the CD.

Okay, let's all show our ages......

Female - Della Reese

Male - Bobby Darin

In addition to Darin's "pop" tunes like "Mack the Knife", and "Beyond the Sea", he could wail on classics, and play the drums. I think he was also versed on a few other instruments as well. It is rumored that his career suffered after making the statement "I'm going to be as big as Sinatra." He made that statement in the 50's or 60's. Can you spell "blackballed?" Then he died (effectively shutting down his career).

Informed sources report that he is STILL in fact, dead. If his present condition changes, I'll be right here, hiding under my bed.

Good to see a couple others that know of Johnette. Passionate vocals, great song writing, killer bass playing & sexy as hell. Not many females in the past 20 years have laid it out there the way she does IMHO.

I am familiar with Sketchbook, just haven't had the funds to pick it up, but thanks for the heads-up anyway Millerdog. I did score the new Concrete Blonde "Live in Brazil CD" before getting laid off though. Very cool. CB's guitarist Jim Mankey's solo CD is also out now which I'd like to get as well.

Johnny Cash, next to the Man In Black most other vocalists seem almost weak. In his prime at least. This is the voice of America!
