Okay, my A/V setup is actually coming together nicely...one thing though...I have a cheap-o mono VCR that is really nothing special...I know that I can buy a nice HIFI stereo VCR for real cheap...and I probably will, but this unit was free. I have it hooked up to my reciever, and the TV hooked to the MONITOR output on the reciever...I have video and audio and everything obviously works fine, however, it is obviously mono sound and made really obvious when hooked up this way. Is there any way that I can send the mono channel through both speakers? I'll probaly just end up buying a new VCR but I only have a couple tapes that I hardly watch that's why I can't really justify the cost of a new VCR....any ideas?

Go to Radio Shack and get a Y adapter. You need a 1 male to 2 female RCA plugs.
Put the male RCA plug into your mono VCR audio output, put a regular set of RCA patch cords into the female ends of the Y adapter then plug them into the right and left audio inputs of your receiver.
Both speakers running but in mono.

Also you can get an adapter with long cords so you dont have to use your own patch cords. But it will cost more.
