I Was listening to "Low Rider" and think this is just a great song !! Cool bass , great drummer, the song is just damn good. Is there anything else from this group that worth listening to ? I could`nt name an album from them if you put a gun to my head. Are any of their releases worth checking out ?

I THINK they did the song "War", and also "The World is a Ghetto."

My Fav by war is Cisco kid. The world is a Ghetto kicks ass to.

Another great tune by Eric Burdon and War is "Spill the Wine"

Their album "All Day Music" is one of my favs.

Contains "All Day Music", "There Must Be A Reason", and my favorite of theirs, "Slippin Into Darkness"

Actually, was one of my favorites- don't believe I've listened to it in 10 or more years.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll just fire up the old turntable and give it a listen:)

"Why Can't We Be Friends?":uzi: I think that was the album. I've got the sheet music to that around here somewhere. Great tune, good group.

It is sad that the lead singer for War died a while ago. I wonder who the lead singer is now. They will be at the Common Ground festival here in Lansing, MI in July (a pretty cheap 5 day music fest).

War is a cool band. Listening to them got me into Lee Oskar the harmonica player.

I have the "Platinum Jazz" double vinyl album. It has all the songs mentioned above plus others.
