Is there really an audible difference between normal optical (toslink) and the audioquest brand, which is $110?

Probably. But I've never heard the Audioquest brand.
I have three optical cables and they all sound slightly different.
Lets see.... Kimber, a glass fiber model (from eBay) and QED. But they all cost $50.00 and under.

IS there any way to really measure the difference between fiber? I dont see how a blinking red light can sound different through its transfer medium. Not starting anything, I dont have experience in the audio side just curious.l

A good question.
And what would a good fiber cable consist of? Thickness? Materials? Branflakes?
Maybe in this case, the only option is to listen and compare. But that can get expensive.... or can you actually measure light?

Ooops. That would be a good fiber cereal.
(Sorry - but it sounded funny at 3:42AM! :D )

Yes, coax sounds much better, so who cares??

Any glass fiber Toslink cable will likely sound better than the equivalent plastic fiber cable.
