This laptop is a Gateway Solo 5150, Pentium II, 233 MHz, 96 MB memory, with a 30 GB HD and Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4. It's actually a decently quick machine. It comes with a DVD player (you will need WinDVD software to run it, works great with it but my trial version expired....). Also has Adobe Acrobat 6.0, WinZip 9.0, Windows Media 9, ZoneAlarm firewall protection. I can also install Photoshop 8, and SyetemWorks 2006 on it (although it slows things down too much IMO). Comes with two batteries, one is decent, the other isn't the greatest. All it needs is a wireless card, and away you go :)

does it have enough juice to run wireless internet thru my router?

I've used it on the wireless network in my home with a card for a couple years. My wife's laptop card died, so it ended up getting installed on her computer.
