well here I go again due to the ever growing amount of Ak'ers that have fell in love with the "Natural sound" who need advice ,help or just want to show off their new baby to us fellow vintage audio lovers yes or no?????

My answer is "no", and I own Yammi gear, no less.

If you mean like Pioneer and Sansui, I voted no. AFAIK we have a separate category for Yamaha owners, e.g, people of excellent taste and discerning hearing.

As a recent convert (one who HAS fallen for the natural sound, Thanks Rob) I too vote no. I might never have discovered Yamaha gear if it hadn't been for posts in the VSS forum. If it had been in a forum off to itself, I might've never become aware of Yamaha.

How about a "No Pioneer, Sansui, Marantz" forum?
Or maybe a Tandberg forum for when I want to be left alone.

No, as has been stated before, I find that I visit the brand-specific forums far less than, say, VSS or General Music. I own and love Yamaha gear, but we really don't need a specific forum for it.

No for me too. I really don't see the point. I have learned far more about Yamaha gear in VSS than I have about Sansui or Mac, just because it is in VSS, and not by itself. I think it is better left as it is.

I don't see why not. From an engineering standpoint there are forums for specific manufacturers that are beneath the quality and desirability of Yamaha. There are allot of yammi lovers in this site, yet they are shown no respect.
Im sure it's not looked at this way by many, but there are two sides to the coin.
Go Yamaha.
