How many of you with fairly substantial record collections, have ever started listening to your albums from A-Z?

I started doing that and the first was Abba, then ABC, Ars Nova, Badger, etc. I leave out the more popular groups such as Allman Bros but I focus on the lesser known albums. Yes, I know Abba is a part of the more popular groups, but it's the first album in my collection.

Just curious to know if I'm the only nut out here :yikes:

I don't listen to my music in alphabitical order as my colletion changes too fast. I do listen to them from the first case of cds to the end, listening to every thing in each case and move to the next case/When the cds are done I do the cassettes the same way.

Caution: First post. Been lurkin' for a few weeks.
Circa 1980. Put my 1200ish album collection in A-Z order (damn there all gone now... damage from a water leak).. took a couple of evenings. Then on a Friday night soon after, some friends and I got some beer and deceided to start in the A's and listen to one song per LP. Well into Saturday morning... I don't remember all of this for some reason.. we abandoned the project. Though, after some sleep, later that evening, we regrouped but used a different approach.

Acoustic.

I don't think I'd have the patience to tackle something like that. My tastes in music is all over the place and I'm jumpin' around constantly and alot of what I choose is spur of the moment.

Started off on that Idea once. Then got reminded of another song. then that guitar player used to play with this group. the bass player and drummer :thmbsp: used to be... so on and so forth. good luck making it to z with out getting side tracked.

I couldn't handle the A-Z process because I tend to pick music to match my mood. But your mention of Badger caught my attention---not too many Badger fans around.

Hiya,

I have my collection in these cabinets filed from A to Z. So the thought did come to do that.

I might do that sometime next week; and if I fall, I will die somewhere between Ravi Shankar - Rolling Stones trying.

Thank you :-)
