I cant seem to get my tube cage to fit on my amp. The sides seem to be a bit to narrow. The little chiminies that the outside power tubes go into seem to be in the way. Any advice?

Thanks..Jack

I think something got bent somewhere. Mine was intact when I bought mine.
This pic is right after I cut the plastic off. I wanted to save it but not at the cost of even the slightest scratch so out came the razorblade. Tubes are still in a foam padding inside the cage.

I'll bet I can cook twice as much chicken on my HK Citation II as you can on your Mac - ha! :D

I seem to recall that my MC275 IV cage has little cutouts on the bottom edge to accommodate the outside power tube coolers. I took my cage off recently and am not using it now-- hot glass on shiny stainless steel is the look!!

I took my tube cage off first thing, took the tubes out, wrapped it in a towel and stuck it in a closet.

Thanks all for all the interesting comments... I think the cut outs need to be cut out a little more...the cage is going back in the box anyway...

Nothing beats the glow of the tubes in a dimly lit room with good music playing.

Goes nicely with the color-coordinated lava lamp, too.
