Got the new reissue of Abbey Road. Side B straight out of the (cheap paper) sleeve was scratched up. Back to the store where they exchanged it for another copy. Side B AOK, Side A kind of scratched/mashed all through Come Together . Serious bummer. Anybody else had this problem? It's a first, or now a second, for me.

I have 2 copies on vinyl and the pathetic cd, an original and a reissue, both US. They play well though, sound is very good. I need to get the Japanese/
Toshiba. I have some of the other Toshiba/Beatles and they are really great and I love that album! :)
Or are you speaking of the Toshiba? :D

Hiy Flocoma,
I bought a AC/DC Highway To Hell 180 gms once from the store and the inner-sleeve was torn. I took it back and told John Brown this. He said ,"Pick another one out."
Shot down in flames .... shot down in flamesss ...

Can't say about the current vinyl. I have the original U.S./Apple release and a Mo-Fi from the early 80's (as I remember). Both are okay, with the Mo-Fi having the nod thanks to the superior JVC vinyl formulation. I also have a Toshiba CD that I bought in 1984, many years before the "official" cd release. It smokes the late 80's EMI CD release in sonics and clarity. Go figure.
