I was into Oasis when I was around 12 or so and now that I listen to the same songs at age 20... suddenly I appreciate them more than ever!

Trower 05-29-2006, 02:07 AM For the past couple weeks Ive been rather obessed with them so its funny you posted about em. I just thought they were a cool band back in the day, but recently picked up some vinyl of theres and realy started to respect them as a great band. Havent yet got there new album but should be coming in the mail next week(ebay). Hope they still have it:) Fisher-Dave 05-29-2006, 03:10 AM Dude thats funny you asked. I was just thinking about a Oasis song that has not been on the air here in a long time, they were singing something about getting high,or maybe that was just me lol, just joking lol. It was a cool song though, and I'd pick it up some time if I knew what I was looking for.It wasn't played that much here so I never knew much about them other than the one song, and have not heard it in a long time.Still in my head though :scratch2: Dynacophil 05-29-2006, 03:29 AM except of the both dumbasses - some of their music is fine :) helge Trower 05-29-2006, 11:55 AM Dude thats funny you asked. Very good stoner song:) Tubejunke 06-02-2006, 01:52 AM I'm confused. I didnt know there was a "back in the day" Oasis. I thought they were some 1990's fash in the pan with a small string of radio hits. Just when you think you know your stuff with classic rock, BAM! Wow, I wonder if there is some obscure vintage vinyl of Oasis- like The Lost Woodstock Recordings...Now THAT would be a trip!! datsunmike 06-02-2006, 09:18 AM I saw them in the 70s and they were a decent group if unspectacular. They had a good sound but duplicative of many of the groups of the 70s. After that I don't remember what happened to them. bordeno 06-02-2006, 01:28 PM Some thought they were going to be the next Beatles. Won't go that far, but the CD with Champagne Supernova is a real good one, with a few other good songs like Don't Look Back in Anger The CD is well worth getting for any fans of British Rock. bully 06-02-2006, 09:41 PM I missed them. Heard OF them, but couldn't say I know that I've heard them--I'm sure I have, but there you go. Maybe I'll try out that album mentioned here above. bordeno 06-02-2006, 09:45 PM Bully, the name of the album is What's the Story, Morning Glory :thmbsp: wineslob 06-05-2006, 11:02 AM Mediocre at best IMO, the biggest problem with them were their EGOS. I mean, COME ON we are going to be the next beatles????? Eddiemunster 06-07-2006, 12:46 AM Me. Their confidence is refreshing. What else am I supposed to listen to? That dildo in Coldplay? wineslob 06-09-2006, 12:30 PM Me. Their confidence is refreshing. What else am I supposed to listen to? That dildo in Coldplay? LOL! and I thought I was the only person that couldent stand them. cicero2 06-10-2006, 02:00 PM LOL! and I thought I was the only person that couldent stand them. always thought their album should have been called 'a rush of s*** to the toilet' |
