I picked up some new CD's this weekend here are some recomendations. I am a big McCoy Tyner fan and have alot of his music. One that I did not have is McCoy Tyner plays John Coltrane. It was recorded at the Village Vanguard on 9-23-97 which would have been Coltranes 71st birthday. This CD demands to be played loud and if you have ever been to a Tyner concert you know why. Just a great CD, with George Mraz and al Foster. Secondly I picked up Fly With The Wind from 1976. I had the album years ago and decided it was time to replace it. This ones a bit different in that it employs a string section and has a very lush sound. Hubert Laws Ron Carter and Billy Cobham sit in. Thirdly a new guy, Taylor Eigsti. The CD is titled Lucky To Be Me. This guy is only about 22 years old but wow he is going to be something! Very sophsticated for being so young. Enjoy the music.
