JHB Jeff Healy Band. This was the first great sounding blues/rock band i can remember hearing. I think I was first exposed to them in the Road House movie. I just recently bought one of his discs in a used disc buying frenzy. It's entitled Get Me Some, and man does it smoke! The first two cuts Which One and Hey Hey are awesome. But this disc is good all the way through.
Now as much as I like JHB I have to say that the first Kenny Wayne Sheppard disc has got to be my favorite of this style. And Johnny Lang is awesome as well.
Well back to listening! :music:

I'm guessing you would also like Sonny Moorman as well. I have Telegraph Road by Sonny Moorman and the Dogs and its in the same vein as JHB and KWS.

I usually go on about the old school greats but since this thread seems to focus on newer Blues/Rock I would like to recommend Government Mule. Trust me. There is a reason why Greg Allman trusts the heavy lead guitar workouts of The Allman Brothers Band to the young hands of Warren Haynes. The reason is the fact that the man can flat out jam with the best of whatever your "school" is old or new. Warren Haynes works with both the Allman Brothers Band and his band Government Mule. Check them out folks!!

I second the nomination about Government Mule and Waren Hayes. I would also recommend checking out James (sometimes Jimbo) Mathus, if you can find any of his CDs.

I just listened to a few clips of Gov't Mule on Amazon. I tend to like that heavy blues rock sound. Did they put out anything on record or does anyone know?

You need to listen to George Thorogood's older stuff. Try "Move It On Over", preferably on vinyl. :music:
