The title speaks volumes. Needless to say, I am seriously peaved. The last one has a fist-sized hole punched down the middle of one of at least a dozen "Fragile" stickers, through a double-walled box, completely through a 2" sheet styrofoam pad.

I could easily just spit nails :gigglemad

Da**, were these outgoing??? :tears:

They IGNORE the fragile stickers etc, but in this case did they use them as a bullseye?

As much as I hate to say it, do you have pictures? :tears:

That sucks! However, not as hard as the a**hole who allowed that to happen. :thumbsdn:

:tears: :tears:  :sigh: :yikes: :yikes:

That's just so wrong!!! That's why I just can't use UPS anymore. I'll take my chances with FedEx and others, I've had mostly better luck with them.

Incoming or outgoing?

Sorry to hear that Rich.

Regards,

Bart

Some consolation, if you can call it that, is that these were incoming units. They did not contain pieces of my heart yet.

However, I just promised a customer, who has been patiently waiting for months, that I would get him one of these units sweetened up and out to him. :tears:

Rich, that is really a bummer. I hope you can get some compensation out of UPS.

I hope that you pursue the issues at least for the benefit of those who ship after you.
I am USPS, and I know the people locally whose job it is to check these things out.
The systems for sorting are getting so automated lately that I, and others like me, feel these systems cause more damage than admitted.
I want to see management discipline a machine for chewing up the mail.

I'm another that'll never use UPS again.DHL's bad here in N. Texas. Used Fed Ex for years, no problems.

Sorry to hear that Rich... :tears:
The really sad part is that they were so close to being "re-born" from your incredibly talented hands... :pity:

After I watched a UPS driver push an ATA flight case containing my $85K server off the back of a semi trailer - a 4' free-fall to the asphalt, right in front of me - I have successfully resisted the urge to ever use UPS again. I've had very good luck with FedEx, with the exception of a virtually destroyed amp, which I have to blame on the worst packing job I've ever seen.

Hopefully you called in sothe matter could be addressed?

The driver did 2 things wrong.
1. The dumbie allowed you see him do it.
2. He didn't back up to the dock.

I have used UPS since 1977, and have NEVER had a package so much as scratched. Not to say it will never happen, but so far, so good.

I've had decent luck with UPS, DHL and FedEx no damage yet. But I am concerned about theft. On residential deliveries in my area none of them wait for you to get to the door. I hear the doorbell by the time I get to the door they are out of sight and whatever they had is sitting on my front step. Even boxes marked signature required I think they sign it themselves, I've complained to no avail.

They use driver release. It was initially started to help the customer, who is usually not at home, and to cut down on handling, which in itself leads to damage. As far as a driver leaving a package marked "sig required", without a sig, makes them solely responsible. I don't think you have talked to the right people. Calling 1-800-pickups, is worthless.
