Hiya noblest creatures :-)
An Ode for thee O Woman
********************
A red rose I grew for thee O woman;
A 20 petalled jewel I didst bestow,
Red-jewelled; as stars burn O woman;
On thine Heart's lapels it doth glow.
Whither the Moon goest the Stars burned;
As didst the red rose on thine Heart yearned,
May thine Love be never spurned;
But be as harbored boats in safe Haven.
Thank you :-)

Hiya fair ones,
Those blue bonnets, they do fly ....
Over mountains, fields and hills.
When evening falls and the shadows grow tall ...
The Heaven's call; come one and all.
Fly little darling .. just a little higher!
Fly little baby .... and touch the sky!
Thank you me darlings :-)

Hi Ladies and Gentlewomen,
I offer thee another poem; to complement thine culinary joy.
The Recipe! (June 09, 2006)
***************************
A pound of joy garnished with a bottle of wine;
Add peals of laughter, the more the better.
All the happiness thee can squeeze from a loving heart and some;
Miles of smiles churned gaily in a bowl of sparkling rum!
Serve at the daily table with life's Bread :-)
Condiments of love for the family made!
Thank you :-)

Song of The Lion
*************
Words like walls, unyielding and stubborn;
Halts my steps; am yoked with burden.
He clenches his fists and draws the blood;
Wishes me to join the Herd!
But I am Lion ... hear me Roar!
Am strong, great; mightier than Thor!
I roam the Earth; I have no Law!
Am perfect, wholesome without a Flaw :-)
Thank you :-)

Caught me an Angel
***************
I sprouted wings and flew to Heaven;
Caught me an Angel; took her to a Tavern.
Had us some beers and fried chicken;
Went home and read her some Dickens!
Cheerio!

Hiya Sisters and the occasional brother/s,
Missus Fotno's Dancing Panda
********************
Who stole the Stars; the night is Black and dark!
Was it you my dear; tell me now, have no fear.
Not me .. Not me .. that dancing Panda did it!
She danced up the stairs into the Heavenly night;
Picked the Stars; by the shocked moon light.
Not me .. Not me .. that dancing Panda did it!
Hehehehe :-)))

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
Looted!
******
A Being stole across the hallway; that night,
Into the right chamber of my Heart.
And by the light of her candle; that night,
She broke the locks and looted my Vault!
Those friendly, spooky shadows danced; that night,
As my scrolls of love she read with delight!
Thank you :-)

Dear Sisters and/or the occasional Brother/s,
This poem I penned to signify the true Nature of women and why they should be respected; contrary to all worldly wisdom, here is something Real!
Shakti !
*******
Shakti! Thou art writ in Sanskrit;
The power behind all word, thought and deed.
Leading blind men in time of need;
Sriking hard on those who pay no heed!
Shakti! Thou art a woman!
Behold this Truth, this Wonderment!
Bereft of Thee, hardly ever at his best;
He is bumbling and tumbling at the Devil's behest!
Thank you :-)

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
This came to me; today, a few moments before breakfast. My wife asked me, "Why do you have that smile on your face, almost like that of a Predator" .... Hehehehehhe :-) ........ Enjoy!
My Path! (The Song of the Lion)
********************************
If in my Path ye stand, I have to plough ye under;
Yet ye hide in rules and laws, which I won't render.
Hate mongers and Truth haters, I rip asunder!
Hah! small kings and court jesters, I cannot bear!
Sneaking like jackals with the law of the pack!
Conspiring for a kill, a bit of the rotting flesh.
But I am Lion you sneaky, tiny, fuddling jacks!
Run! Hide! For I will tear your white flags!
Thank you!

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
Heaven :-)
*********
Heaven inspires me not; for I have been told,
Folks in Heaven they weep not!
Angelic festivities with tears bought;
As the Heavenly Gates they eagerly sought.
A man's gentleness in a tear seen;
Bearing greatness of glad tidings,
And in Heaven if they deem, that this cannot be seen,
Lord! Save me from that scene ....
Thank you :-)

Dear Sisters & the occasional Brother/s,
Heaven & Hell :-)
**************
If I die and wake to find;
I am in Heaven's Star shine ..
Then my Dear, will Thee be there to be mine?
If Thou art not there to be found :-(
Then verily a Heaven is Hell on a Higher ground!
Thou art my place and Heaven's Star shine!
Whether a Palace or a Hovel pain-filled .. I will make it mine!
I'd yearn to be together In Hell's darkness!
Than be in a Heaven bereft of your Kindness :-(
Thou art my place and Heaven's Star shine!
Whether a Palace or a Hovel pain-filled .. I will make it mine!
Thank you :-)

Being of Darkness - 14th July 2006
********************************
O Being of Darkness ..leave me!
Thy veil lays on my breasts heavy.
Thy chilling breath ..
Like ripples on a black pond ugly;
Course my veins mercilessly!
O Being of Darkness .. leave me!
Thine suffering withers the blooms of my garden divine;
Thine pain wrings the nectar from my Heaven's star shine.
Thine touch like poison drip on infant throat;
Killing all innocence with thine deadly dote.

I love your odes too. Have you put music to any? Your last couple makes me think of a favorite song of mine, A Distance There Is, from a group called
Theatre Of Tragedy. A darkish song beautifully done with piano, violin, and Liv Kristine's vocal. I will have to play this next now.
Please keep them coming! :)

Hi Carl,
Thank you.
I have not added music to these. My odes come to me without the melody. I don't know why ... When I think about it now, it is maybe because each heart has a certain melody vibrating in it all the time. A good ode will be able to quickly fit in and become that melody!
I do write songs too; here, the melody comes, followed by the words. Sometimes they come together.
Thanks :-)

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
Maya is a Sanskrit word which has been not been presented properly to the Western mind. Translated directly : "illusions of the phenomenal world". The word maya actually could mean "cosmic play" which is a wonderful thing! Everything is what the mind calls it. You call it good and lo! you have good ... and vice versa. The phenomenal world is as it is. Your attachment to the Dhandwa principle of duality creates all the problems. Your love and hate is the same thing; but it is the thought that makes it either.
Maya

What will it take to teach men ..
That his loves and hates are the same?
That the Devil in His flowing red cape ...
Could be God galavanting in His game!
What will it take to teach men ..
That 'tis the same Fame and Shame?
That Good and Bad can have no blame ...
'Cept what his will calls it in his game!
Cheerio!

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
Aren't butterflies just amazing? They live for fourteen days and yet the nectar of every flower become theirs! 'Tis a blessed life!
Butterflies :-)
***********
The air is filled with jots of red, yellow and gold;
As a mad Artist would a frenzied brush flaunt,
An ecstatic painting of colors bouncing bold!
Ho! Flighty butterflies in my morning jaunt!
Now here, on the Red Rose she perched;
Sweet nectar for her exquisite thirst!
Then there; on the Lilac, for a blast of honey burst;
Floating her Life; sweet and just, like a friendly Ghost!
Thank you :-)

Dear Sisters and the occasional Brother/s,
I love stormy weather. The grey sky calms me and points me to a new direction every time. This came to me tonight :-)
Stormy weather
*************
Flashes of lightnings heralds the birth;
Of claps of thunder to jolt the Earth,
Fierce, grey winds by the vine-yard;
Shakes the trees and stirs the dirt.
The spirally smoke from our chimney;
Lashed, scattered by forces rowdy.
'Tis a black night in the country;
As Witches charm and Trolls glee.
Inside the House, by the Fire safe;
We sit and hear the Storm rave!
For thee 'O Wayfarer .. burning brave;
A Lamp flickers in the window save.
Thank you :-)

At 5.00PM every Sunday, my beloved wife brings me my tea. Today; it was late and as I was ruminating over the late arrival, the following few lines appeared :-)
Tea Time!

Did you not Miladi, marry me?
So make haste and bring me my tea!

Dear Sisters and/or the occasional Brother/s,
This ode is about tears. It is said that among the ways by which a Person can cleanse his heart (I say heart because the soul is always clean!) is crying. The seat of the soul is the Heart. When we clean this, then we are able to feel the vibrations of the soul; which, will then live from the within to the without.
Crying is not easy. It is easy for women because they are intimately connected to their Hearts by Nature. They are designed that way. (I am thankful everyday for women!) For men, it takes a lot of practise! I have reasons to believe that an average man will have to cry for many years before each tear that rolls down his face become diamonds as it were!
I wrote this ode in 1997 and saw it fit that it should today be posted for common good :-)
Cry (1997)
*********
Cry baby Cry, with all your might;
Rock your body, now it’s alright :-)
Do not grumble, bicker and fight;
Stand up straight and look up right.
Cry baby Cry, into the night;
Tears a glow, pearly light.
'Tis a lovely wholesome sight;
Of stardust in the moonlit night.
Cry baby Cry, give up the fight;
Be naked before His heavenly might!
A glitter of hope you will sight;
With a restive heart in the dawning light :-)
Thank you :-)

Dear Sisters and/or the occasional Brother/s :-)
I had trouble with my well that year and called Todd over. That late evening, he climbed down into the well and he had a straw hat on. While he was looking at the pump, I heard him whistle "Amazing Grace" :-) It had a peculiar, soothing effect with the notes bouncing off the walls around him! I looked up and it was a grand, September day. Geese were flying South and there was a Rainbow stretching an arch. I walked back to my house and wrote this .....
Twilight joy frills - September, 2002
****************************
The Rainbow thrills as the Sun hides behind the hills,
Dark blue and blackened sights of twilight joy frills!
Black trees against silvery drapes of skies with purple grapes,
Arrowhead of wild geese amazingly graced!
Thank you :-)

The Crown
*********
The Princess lost her Crown.
Upon her brow grew a frown; a sad Fawn.
Her face mourns the new pain born;
Of lost crown and all song.
The King rode into Hell's depth;
Amid brimstone, devil and serpent pit,
Slaying all who face his wrath;
Decades passed; the Crown he seeked!
In Lucifer's dungeon, in a room called Vengeance,
He found: a mountain of glittering Crowns!
Each cried a story sad; of lost songs and angelic dance.
In his heart he hid the stolen Crowns;
To Earth he rode in joyous cadence!
For each Princess a returned magnificence;
Of love songs and angelic dance!
Thank you :-)

It is written in the Talmud:
"Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears.
The woman came out of man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on.
Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal.
Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved."

Dear Sisters and/or the occasional Brother/s,
A child is born angry. The child's first cry is the ultimate cry of Absolute Anger! Behold the Infant! It cries because it knows who It really is! Around the age of 2 or 3 the Child begins to forget. This process of forgetting continues in Life. The Ego begins to think that it is now a 'He' or a 'She'.
The Soul is always Feminine by principle. When an Infant cries; it is the Soul that is crying; immortal and Eternal :-)
The Infant's Song!
***************
Born angry: I cried for being cast out;
Again, from the Womb of my Glory!
I know! For I was here before;
Time and again, inspiring awe!
Born angry: with fists clenched I cried;
For I've been here before and I divine why!
O Krishna! I beseech thee; erstwhile,
May this be my final Life, I sigh.
A drop of that Infinite Ocean; I am!
A sparkling Star in the Universe of Light!
A Sword of Love I will forge in Time;
To end this play of Cosmic Fight.
As stars myriad as rubies laid;
I shall now sleep and dream; unafraid,
As flowers bloom and in Time fade;
My Glorious lineage I feign forget.
Thank you :-)

Ever since I had my stroke a couple years back, I have been subject to having "crying jags" semi-frequently. No particular reason, but if I read things like this, I'm about guaranteed to start sobbing. It DOESN'T bother me, its just there's something that triggers the "cry" reflex very easily now. I saw a Star Trek: The Next Generation last nite that had Mark Lenard-Sarek, Spock's father in it, & that made me cry. Listened to George Strait's "Amarillo by Morning" ystrday, & it turned on the waterworks, too. But crying jags aside, Cosmic's poetry DOES move me, for the most part. Keep it up, Kamal !!

Dear Sisters and/or the occasional Brother/s,
Sorrow is a pre-requisite ingredient for Joy. This sorrow is sublime and gentle. It is as if it is not there but it fuels Love. It is not foolish like the man who sleeps on a bed of nails to show others that he is capable of pain!
There must always be a lacing; however thin it maybe, of pain in the heart if you believe in Love. A fool will try and remove all pain and pursue pleasure thinking that, that is his purpose in Life. This fool is just like the fool who sleeps on a bed of nails to show others by public feat that he is great! Hehehehe :-)
The Sun - 1998
****************
Fie on thee, little man!
Come out to where the Light is!
Where warmth prevails as darkness flees;
And love will reign in fullness!
Fie on thee, little man!
That you scorn my generous kindness!
For I cannot douse my flaming furnace?
But to selflessly pour my innocent rays;
Of love in sublime carelessness!
Thank you :-)

This ode is for you :-
Love Dove
**********
I looked above and by Jove!
Someone had flown me a white dove :-)
A delightful parchment; a scroll of love,
With a flutter of wings it served.
O'er seas, storms and rumbling rain,
This note of love came.
A scatter of grain for her pain,
Was all the reward she had to gain.
Thank you :-)
