KSB 1.1s...sweeeeet

...snagged a pair of these off ebay...nice condition cosmetically and appear to sound perfect...GREAT sounding speaker for such a small speaker...bought for the garage system...whenever I get around to it...listening to them powered by my Nakamichi TA-2A...tried them when I got them through the Nakamichi SR-2A that I bought on ebay last year (the intended garage system) but the left channel sounds raspy...thought at first it might be the speakers but...I think the SR-2A is giving up the ghost... :no: ...not sure if I want my really great condition Nak TA-2A to get garage duty but it beats sitting in a closet to sing rarely, yes???

I have a pair of those amazing little rascals powered by a cheap little Sonic Impact digital amp running off of my computer. I added a small Bose (yes, I know) bass module thingy that I found at a garage sale. It's a little bigger than a shoe box an fits nicely under the desk. I can barely hear anything out of the bass module but I do like the slight addition. Although the 1.1s sound great by themselves, I've gotten used to the Bose footrest.

I just came home with a pair of KSB 1.1's and I totally agree with you guys, what a nice full sound from such an unassuming package. They are bass shy as expected but the mids are rich and the highs are crisp without fatique. I've got them running on an 80 watt integrated and they seem to handle the watts well. Nice for $14.

Edit: I take back the bass shy impression. I was playing some Natalie Cole and there is no bass in the instrumentals. I've got some George Benson playing and the bass is there. So, I am even more impressed than before.
