I live in Minnesota, and am expecting to receive a package via Canada Post from Hamilton, ON. It was originally shipped on June 1st. I was wondering what experiences anyone else has had with Canada Post shipments recieved in the U.S.? What kind of a lead time should I reasonably expect to receive my amp in? T.I.A.

Sit back, put your feet up, and wait a while. Unless you ponied up for some type of 'Express' shipping, it will be several days, yet.

I just received a Canada Post package here on the east coast from BC. It took about 10 days and arrived AOK. Patience!

FWIW, The Canada Post tracking link page listed it as "Expedited USA"

Whenever I have dealt with Canada Post, both in and out of Canada, they were A-1. Never, ever a problem.

CanadaPost delivers the goods(pun intended). I have never had a problem with this crown corporation and we use them at work to ship eyeglasses as far as France.

Their carriers take their jobs seriously.I predict you'll have your amp Thurs the 15th of June.

I've received several items delviered via Canadian Post. All the items were delviered intact, and without incident.

Strangely, I had a craving for Labatt's Blue following each delivery.

Allways A1 service for me. Had a delay once on a Trio amp, but it was due to customs having to open the package which required me to have a "broker". Supposedly this was due to declared value on the package. I actually favor Canadian sellers too. Allways top notch for me. :D

Well the package arrived ahead of schedule! (It was delivered on Friday). Now the bad news... The amp (double boxed) was damaged. The front faceplate and one rack handle were bent and dinged pretty good. (From looking at the box corner, I'll assume it was dropped!) I tried to power it up with no luck. I did pay extra for insurance, and have pictures of the amp prior to (showing no damage) and after receiving it. I've found a place that I can get a replacement rack handle, and will take it to an electronics repair shop to try and figure out why it is dead.

Now my question is how do I go about collecting on the Canada Post insurance after I determine what is wrong with the amp?!? Also, who files the claim?!? (Shipper or receiver?). T.I.A.

Here (http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/B02-e.asp) is a link to the CanadaPost website, with directions about filing a claim. In your case, this could be trouble, because both carriers, CanadaPost and USPS, may claim that the other is responsible for the damage.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your claim.
