It's time to clear out the old storage room! :D

NEW ITEMS

1) Cambridge Audio PM-01 Phono Module SOLD

If you own a Cambridge Audio "A" series integrated amplifier and would like to upgrade it by adding a nice moving-magnet phono section, the PM-01 is your ticket. It's a plug-in unit, so no soldering or special technical knowledge is required for this upgrade.

Retail price = $54, ASKING PRICE = $15.

2) Micro Care "Premier" Vinyl Record Pre-Cleaner SOLD

A well-regarded LP cleaner. For more information, click here (http://www.microcare.com/default.htm?http://www.microcare.com/product/PS-94%20VRP.asp).

Retail price = $20/bottle, ASKING PRICE = $10/bottle.

3) Shun Mook "Original Cable Jacket" SOLD

Simply wrap this device around the mid-point of a cable, and you'll hear a noticeable lowering of the noise floor. A very effective treatment for speaker cables!

Retail price = $120, ASKING PRICE = $45.

(We currently have two of these items available.)

4) Walker Audio "Vivid CD/SACD/DVD Enhancer" Deluxe Kit SOLD

One of the few digital treatments that lives up to its promises - click here (http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue14/vivid.htm) for a review.

Retail price = $70, ASKING PRICE = $35.

5) Yamamoto Sound Craft HS-2 Phono Cartridge Headshell SOLD

Perfect for SME arms, this Japanese Cherry headshell lends a richer sound to vinyl playback than any metal or plastic headshells available. For more information, click here (http://www2.117.ne.jp/~y-s/head-shell-eng.html).

Retail price = $80, ASKING PRICE = $50.

(While unused, the packaging has been opened to allow a customer to inspect this headshell up close.)

USED ITEMS (PRISTINE CONDITION)

1) Audio Note AN-A Interconnects (1-meter pair) SOLD

Audio Note's entry-level copper Litz interconnects.

Retail price = $90/pair, ASKING PRICE = $35/pair.

(We currently have two 1-meter pairs of these interconnects.)

2) Audio Note AN-C Interconnects (0.5-meter pair) SOLD

The next step up from Audio Note's wonderful AN-A interconnects.

Retail price = $61/pair, ASKING PRICE = $20/pair.

3) Audio Note AN-D Speaker Cables (3-meter pair) SOLD

This pair of speaker cables is a bit weird, as it's terminated with spades at one end and bananas at the other. Still, this could be an advantage with certain amp/speaker combos...

Retail price = $120/pair, ASKING PRICE = $30/pair.

4) Final Labs OFC Interconnects (1-meter pair) SOLD

Ultra-pure Japanese copper wire with natural cotton jackets - some of the nicest (and certainly among the most exotic) cables ever made for tube gear!

Retail price = $229/pair, ASKING PRICE = $59/pair.

5) Final Labs OFC Interconnects (1.5-meter pair) SOLD

Ultra-pure Japanese copper wire with natural cotton jackets - some of the nicest (and certainly among the most exotic) cables ever made for tube gear!

Retail price = $269/pair, ASKING PRICE = $69/pair.

6) Herron Audio Interconnects (1-meter pair) SOLD

These are among the very best interconnects I've heard at any price - fast and detailed, yet very rich in their overall presentation. For more information, click here (http://www.herronaudio.com/cables.html).

Retail price = $225/pair, ASKING PRICE = $85/pair.

(We currently have two 1-meter pairs of these interconnects.)

7) Shun Mook "Mpingo Cable Tree" SOLD

Perhaps the "tweakiest" tweak I have on hand, the Cable Tree is best used under a power cord, and is said to result in a fuller yet more precise sound. And I think I agree with Shun Mook's claims!

Retail price = $200, ASKING PRICE = $75.

Though he hardly needs it, with his reputation, let me support Brian's assessment of the Cambridge Audio phono module. I have an A-500 integrated, with that module. My MMF-5 runs into it, thence to Tangent RS-4's, and it is a very nice setup.

One caveat, a light fixture which has a dimmer switch might cause a low-level hum, if it is too close to the amp, and running at less than full brightness. (5-6 feet, for me.)

I have found all Cambridge products sensitive to dimmer switches and RFI.The best solution I found was to get them on anotherr circuit

Truth be told, MANY audio products are sensitive to dimmer switches! I have made sure to keep them separate from the AC lines feeding my stereo systems...

I almost did too! I use that stuff most everywhere and wanted to try modding a pair with Eichmann plugs. I like the way those IC's work with tube equipment, especially low power SET's - kicked all my fancy silver stuff to the parts box.

Good scoop Ernie!
