View Full Version : He dragged me here, kicking and screaming

After losing my husband and my phone line to AK, I decided it was time for me to check things out. Besides, this way I can actually reach him when I am at work, and he is home playing on the computer. I figured this was the safest place to make my introductions. I'm Mrs. Fotno, aka Holly. I am glad to be here. Hopefully I will learn more about all this audio stuff and get some ideas on where to put all this audio stuff he brings home (Fotno didn't like my first suggestion). I will listen to any ideas!

Welcome aboard Mrs. Fotno!

You may find that the key to keeping Fotno from bringing home more equipment is for him to keep busy tinkering with the stuff he already has (sadly this doesn't apply to speakers). This way he may miss a few garage sales.

Welcome aboard Holly!

I think the best place for all that audio junk is it's own dedicated room. Don't even bother using that room for anything else, it's kind of like a storage area, audio stuff only, just toss the audio (and Fotno) in their and forget about it. Actually, why not toss all that stinky old single-malt scotch in there too.

(Fotno, please send payment for this advise to my paypal account :) )

Welcome Mrs. Fotno!

We sure do like having Mr. Fotno around here! He's a good guy... and you can just keep telling yourself that there are far worse habits and and addictions than AK and audio gear!

Lefty, ding-dang it, I'm in enough trouble as it is!:D

Sandy, I told Holly just last night the very same thing. Mebbe we can work something out before summer break gets over. I'll holler shortly when we've had time to talk about it.

Mrs.Fotno, Welcome, I told you they were a good bunch!

Thanks for the info Lefty. I thought that tutorial from Fotno was short! Now I know he was hiding things. Makes me wonder what else he is hiding..hmm. :scratch2:

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes. Now I just have to fight for computer time.

If I was going to hazard a guess, I'd say a few receivers, a turntable or two and 7 speakers. Yeah 7, he couldn't just leave that orphan speaker there, could he?

I wish it were just 7 speakers. However, I am sitting here looking at 8, just in the living room alone. Now, is it you that I have to blame..err..thank for the turntable??

Yeah, like he is going to play nice just because I'm here. I wish it were that easy. But ya'll let me know if I need to take the frying pan to his head. :D

And Justen, I really do like the turntable, I just have to fuss a little!

Hello Mrs. Fotno!

It's very sweet of you to jump on board with Mr. Fotno...we're all an innocent bunch of looneys! I'm a fairly newbie here, but I have found the AK group to be EXTREMELY supportive to all.

I've learned alot since I joined, but because of another hobby (books) I already knew how to hide extra copies on the shelves. With audio equipment...it's FAR more difficult!

Look!...dad got another box today!
