In order to determine the winner, the registration time/date stamp, from the user profile, shall determine the exact time when member number 15,000 arrives on AK. Each user, even of those submitted on the same day, has a unique Join Date/Time. That time is marked, when a registration is submitted, and a UserID number is generated. The email confirmation process has no bearing on what member becomes "Number 15,000". The fifteen-thousandth member is NOT UserID number 15,000, as some of you have astutely noticed. There is a gap between UserID numbers and the total count of users. This occurred when idle membership records were deleted from the database, for housekeeping purposes. The 'count of members' is the number in question, for this contest. As of this post, the count stands at 14,459 members.
