...is TERRIFIED of storms, loud noises,...and FIRECRACKERS !! She got behind my big Yammy RX-V1, & has torn about half the speaker wires loose...Its A LOT of fun for me to try to re-connect all those wires w/my bum knee...Half a mind to take her to the Pound & be rid of her...
Aww, you wouldn't do that! Like a little kid, she's just scared. The noise is probably hurting her ears.

My dog has been afraid of everything loud sense the twister went through here in 99'.
Don't get rid of your dog. Pooches are our bestest friends :)

I have an australlian Shepherd that has the same problem. Funny, cuz he's the type of dog that would rip your arm off if you were an intruder.
Whenever the stereo starts pumping bass notes or there's thunder, he finds somewhere to cower.

Hiya,
The neighbours dogs; Izzy and her other short, furry brown friend spend all of their time on our yard. They rarely go back but to eat and sleep. My wife has a box of biscuits she feeds them everyday.
Today, there were fire-works display at the playground a few miles away and it made quite a racket! It drove them nuts! The neighbour's horses started going a little bit mad too!
Heheheheh :-) Nice, nice day!

Wasn't there a post within the last few days about vets providing "little white pills" that calmed down a few canines without making them lethargic???
Seems like a kindness for man's best friend...

My dear departed Sophie was afraid of thunder, fireworks etc. we used to sleep in the basement with her on the 4th with music playing all night. Thankfully Max and Taylor, my Akita and Dane, are not bothered by loud noises. Hang in there Sandy and give Sassy a big hug.
