Well this is probably a simple fix but I am cross-eyed looking for it. I've been tweaking out this little Marantz 2220B, the tuning string was slipping a little so after applying a little tacky wax that did the trick. But now the tuner pointer was off, so I used a echowars trick by loosing the tuning wheel to adjust the pointer where it goes. Worked great but here's the other problem...
When the pointer is in the correct position receiving signal loud and clear and the tuning needle is set where it should be for peak signal the "stereo" light either will not light or will blink on and off. Move the tuner slightly, the stereo light works as it should. So I guess I either need to align the needle to the stereo lamp or make some adjustment (if possible) that would adjust the stereo lamp to burn when the tuning needle is in the correct position.
I have the service manual but it hasn't been much help in this case or I am looking (cross-eyed) in the wrong place.
Other than this minor issue the unit is sounding like a classic Marantz should. 2.4mV in the right channel and 8.2mV in the left.
