i was playing with my guitar amp today and it was looking very dull. then it ocured to me that it was coverd in black vinal. so i got the armorall wipes out of the car and gave it a good rub down and it looked specktacular. about a half our latter i decided to try it on a speaker that was coverd in normal vinal venner (not the thick textured stuff on my amp) and it seemed to work prity well as well, however the speaker is in a dimly lit place so it is hard to tell... i would immagin if the unit was in the sun or bright lights it would make it look a lot better. i was just wondering if i am the only person to try this or not, and what everyone elses results were

I have heard that long term use of Armourall can cause cracking. This rumour may have started in automotive circles IMO, YMMV. It is said that baby oil is a better choice.

I have used Armorall for twenty years on my amp with no ill effect. It also helps on later clean up after a gig. Stuff don't stick to it and wipes off easier
