I have a pair of New Advent Loudspeakers with the walnut cabinets that look like they're about a 7 or 8 out of a 10. Most of the cabinets need no attention at all, but there are a few edges, one edge on the upper rounded corner that have a little damage. I could probably live with them as-is and have it not bother me too much, but if I decide to patch those areas, I'm wondering if anyone can pass along advise they have learned from their own mistakes??? (As if any of you make mistakes ;)
I know one option is to completely refinish the cabinets, which maybe I'll do for a winter project. My main concern for now is the best way to patch/fill small glitches on the edges so I can sand down and get a clean sharp edge.
The other option is to keep and wait to find a matching pair of Advents in pristine condition . . .
Oh, and if anyone knows where I can find a lone fried egg tweeter, let me know. I have not found any yet.
