My old 29" Toshiba was on the fritz so I dragged the wife out to the local electronics store ( I wasted a good portion of my life in that store). I had already picked out a 27" Panasonic flatscreen TV which was basically the exact same size as the Toshiba it was to replace. Lo and behold my wife takes a liking to a 36" Panasonic flatscreen. Well long story short, I'll be watching The Sopranos on my new 36" flatscreen TV tonight. I have to admit it is a beautiful television even at more than twice the price of the 27". Oh and to put a capper on a great weekend I woke up with chicken pox this morning. Never been so f$%king itchy in all my life.

I had chicken pox 5 years ago.....couldn't leave the house, so I ended up sitting with a soldering iron at a bench for almost a day recapping my first television, a Motorola VT-71.

It sucks, but just take the time to liten to tunes, surf the net, and of course post whore here :D

Yeah Alan the whole household has gone through this disease so I'm well equipped with Tylenol, Benadryl, Oatmeal baths and calamine lotion. I think once the fever goes away I'll be okay. I actually started feeling ill on Friday but the pox didn't show up til today.

Geeze Mike,

I thought you had this already a couple of months ago, or was that something else similar? Hope you don't suffer too badly.

I wish I'd known you needed a big screen TV. I have a 41" NEC RPTV here that I have $200.00 in and I want it out of my shop. It needs minor service but I would have given it to you, so you could'a had a 41" for maybe a $50-$100 repair bill. Come to think about it, you already know I have it. Never mind. Get well.
