I'm taking the DIYve...
I've got the schematic and at least the most important stuff--- THE IRON! I'm going to have to rape an ST-70 or 2 for that. At the recommendation of another DIYer, I'm going to try something with the 6B4g, which as I understand is the 6v equivalent to the 2A3. I'm going to get alot of help, by him, and hopefully here as well. These will be monoblocks with a pair of the power triodes and something like ecc88's up front. I'm looking at motor run caps for the PS. Well that's may not sound to exciting to anyone else, and maybe not much of a start, but I guess I have to start somewhere. I've been playing with Dynaco stuff for too long and I'm getting itchy about moving on. Entirely a learning experience for me and probably at very slight curve. So bare with me as this post may stretch out for decades :boring: Hopefully someone can tell me how to post pics here so the progress can be seen and others will be encouraged to take the DIYve!
This is going to be like a TV reality show or something: Can we actually guide a monkey through building a tube amplifier...tune in and we'll see tonite on FOX!
