I have an AR-XA that I think I may need to re-wire the headshell through the tonearm to the underside of the top.
I am noticing static buildup that seems to "build" with each LP I put on and gets to the point that I stop playing after about 3-5 LPs in a row (2 sides each). So let's say after about playing 6+ sides I stop playing.
I can kick myself for selling off all my LP Discwasher stuff, including Zerostat guns (2) about a year ago when I thought I'd never get back into vinyl. I would like to think that's my problem solver, but here's where I get concerned.
When the static builds up I can hear static through the speakers that corresponds with my touching the tonearm itself or the wire that goes into the base.
Any thoughts?
