Hi All,
I don't have a manual for the PLC-590. Does it have transit screws that can be tightened down for shipping? If so, how many and where are they located? If not, does Pioneer have any other recommendations or procedures for safe shipping of this model?

Hi Kal,
Welcome to Audio Karma! Somehow your post got filed & piled under! Hehehehehe :-)
The transit screws should be located around the platter area. There should be at least 3 such screws.
Thank you :-)

There is a circular plastic assembly under the platter and through the spindle. It has three larger screws and three smaller screws. However, there is a sticker which says "Do not remove screws", which doesn't make sense if some of these are transit screws?

Hi Kal,
Your PLC-590 is a DD and is a good unit and it may not have transit screws. These screws should be around the platter area and not under. If they are not there then the unit may not need them. I found pictures of this unit and it is built like a tank! If you need to ship the unit somewhere then just remove the platter and pack separately.
