View Full Version : Got my first Klipsch speakers!
Hi,
Didn't want to cross-post, but I figured there would be some folks over here that would be interested in my new set of Cornwalls detailed over here:

Any tips on restoration appreciated. My only concern is that one of the woofers (not pictured) had something spilled on it at one point. Not sure if it's worth trying to swap out both for cosmetic's sake.

I'm jealous, yours are bigger than mine (Chorus). Enjoy 'em...

:D
Actually, they are really too big. I'm actually considering the Heresy's instead. I love the sound, but since it's for a third system, it truely is overkill.

What a great link, thanks! Please help me understand which crossover network can be used for the Cornwalls. As I read it, it seems only designed for Khorn, La Scala and Belle.
Also, what would be a good option for woofer replacement?

Perfect! Actually I found out that only a fellow named Dean Wescott provides this now. I'm going to try and contact him.

With those plans, and a soldering iron, you can just make 'em.
But bring what you've got up to spec first. As was said earlier, that's the biggest jump in performance...just getting them back to how they sounded when they left Hope almost 30 years ago.

Good point.. one step at a time.
Heck, I still need to hurry up and get my 'missing' speaker :scratch2:

Go to the Klipsch forum and ask about a speaker replacement there… Should be a few folks there that can help you find one…

Ya, I need to take some pics of the funny cone and start a thread over there.
These look like where I'd start:
