Sounds like some bondo work to me.
Can't help you out, but hope you search yields positive results.
Good luck with your project.
Regards,
John...whom spends all day at a local body shop. :)

I bought a decent DA at NAPA several years ago. $40-50.

Yeah, sure do, Grumpy...
It's a living.....
And you know what?
I'm not really so good at it, either. :)
Heh.
Painting is more my thing.
Though, practice makes perfect.
I'm just about 85% finished restoring my '73 Cougar XR7 convertable.
....
She's got a few unwanted waves on her.....if ya know what i mean.
:)
Oh well.
What ya gonna do?.
Cheers.
Regards,
John

I hate body work also. I do prefer a long board over the air file. Mine does not get much use. Look in the pawn shops for an old IR DA. I have had mine for 20 years.
As Audioreality says I would rather paint but I like the payoff of doing it myself.

For a one-time job, go to Post Tools or Harbor Freight and buy throw-aways. Just do your work while they're still under warranty.
If you want some good expensive stuff that'll cost you a mint to ship to you, PM me.

I think the Harbor Freight idea is your best bet.I was there today and noticed the price on one of their DAs,it was 29.95.I don't know what other airtools you need but everything there is pretty cheap. Another source is ebay.I've gotten alot of my airtools there.David

Some of the HF's stuff ain't terrible. I bought an air saw and torque wrench from them. The wrench still works fine after a week but the air saw is the hugest piece of dog shit I have ever owned. I am on my 3rd one just to finish the small job it was purchased for.
I also own one of their air ratchets and it has served me well for almost 2 years. The old saying you get what you pay for was written by a harbor freight customer long ago.

I have some old Astro Pneumatic stuff that I bought at a wholesaler's auction in the mid 80s that was made in Japan before they got as expensive as American made. It's still new in boxes, but someday I might use it. Then again, I'm 56.............
Another brand that is fairly good imported is CE. I know the man that has it imported, and he looks for a little better quality.

For now I will prolly just pick up IR, Snap on or blue point stuff on epay. You can score some pretty decent deals if you are not in a hurry. Thanks
