Hi all. I got this used Benjamin Miracord ELAC TT a while back. Wanted to get back into vinyl. Found out the left channel is out. Replaced RCA cable, no fix. I ohmed from the outputs all the way to the back of the cartridge & it was good. Btw, it is a Grado F2 from what I can see. If they are no other things to check to see if something other than the cartridge is bad, what recommendations do you have for a good replacement (same one?)? My budget is around 40-50 bucks. A used one from an AKer is okay too. I hope that is good enough. I really like the look of it and the right channel sound from it is sweet. :music:
Thanks a bunch,
~ Jim

yOU COULD SWAP THE LEFT AND RIGHT CHANNEL CARTRIDGE connections to be sure.
Grados are known for open connections. I would use an Audio Technica or a Stanton....something fairly rugged for this high mass arm.

Nakdoc. Thanks. I will try that. I have a Best Buy nearby and see if they carry those cartridges. I heard they still sell TTs.
