please help me...i´m considering these two amplifiers, i´m going to use them to watch movies most of the time...i read the manuals of both and they are both 7.1, and i don´t care about the i-pod connection in the rx-v659..so...wich one should i buy ? i don´t need a very powerful amplifier because my room is like a studio ( wood covered walls and ceiling, and the floor has carpet ) and any sound is quite easy to listen. i have a pair of B&W speakers wich i´m going to continue using (the DM302 :thmbsp: ) and i never noticed lack of power with my old (very old) yamaha RX-V390RDS...so...what is your opinion regarding these two ? please help !!

I have an rx-v757 for my ht that works very well with my klipsch speakers. I think the other differences between the 659 and 757 is the xm radio receiver and the zone2 capabilities. I use both features on my 757. With the xm radio, the 659 has the ability to receive the 5.1 audio, the 757 does not. And looking at the spec of the 659 a few months ago, I didn't see way to setup a zone2. With the 757, I've hooked up speakers in my kitchen to the zone2, so that I can pipe the xm radio into the kitchen, while others are watching a movie in the family room. The only thing with using zone2 is it limits the movies to 5.1 as zone2 and the back surrounds use the same channels. If you don't need to use either of these features, either one should work for you, go with the price at that point.
