Paul C 08-01-2006, 08:59 PM What cartridege do you have? Blue Meanie 08-02-2006, 10:16 AM Are you looking to just replace the stylus, or the cartridge (and thus the stylus also)? :scratch2: Jeff rulerboyz 08-02-2006, 11:04 AM You may find a real bargain depending on what type of Shure cartridge it is. For example, the N70B at $13.95 http://www.garage-a-records.com/index.php Tom Blasing 08-02-2006, 04:11 PM Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that a P-Mount?? Blue Meanie 08-02-2006, 04:19 PM Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that a P-Mount?? Nope. Standard headshell, S-shaped arm. :D Jeff lplover 08-03-2006, 06:54 PM I have a SL D2-the same but semi-automatic. What Shure was on it? You could just replace the stylus. If you want to buy something new, I like my Ortofon OM10 cartridge/stylus for about $30 on ebay (William Thakker). It usually costs more. Some would recommend a new Shure M97xe, or an Audio Tachnica At110E, AT120E or AT440MR. To spend less, try the AT95E for $30 with Mr. Thakker-it's usually at least $50 in the U.S. and is very hightly recommended. wank 08-03-2006, 08:06 PM I use a Grado Red or Blue on my Technics TTs, they fit the $50-$60 range. I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I like it fine. malanga 08-04-2006, 12:06 PM Well, what I have is a Shure 91ED. I was thinking of replacing the entire cartridge. Maybe I should just change the stylus? lplover 08-04-2006, 12:43 PM You can find styli for those easily on ebay or at most online stores. |
