How can I get rid of the HUM I'm getting from my Rega 3 ? I have tried 5 different cartridges and still it's there. More noticable at higher volumes. PLEASE HELP! :scratch2:

It took me a while to determine that the hum in my TT was from the dimmer-switch controlled light fixture, a few feet away.

But I'm not the brightest bulb on the string, anyway.

Either there is a hum-inducing element in the ground loop your TT is hooked up to (as Luvvinvinyl indicated) or your cart is not properly grounded. Have you checked the ground wire from the cart connector to the ground output? Could be as simple as a broken wire.

IIRC, hum can also be induced by other factors, like cart alignment.
