View Full Version : pioneer tuner georgedannyg 08-07-2006, 04:01 PM what is the matching tuner for the pioneer spec series ive got the spec2 and spec 1 is coming or what would be a good tuner for it :music: bolly 08-07-2006, 04:02 PM you'd have to ask retro stereo(Pioneer forum mod), he's prolly gott 6 of them! :D Dr. Strangelove 08-07-2006, 04:10 PM A TX-8500II or a TX-9500II would do nicely. Doc dew042 08-07-2006, 06:39 PM How about a TX-9500 II: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160015622160&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 dew. Retro Stereo 08-07-2006, 06:50 PM All of the ones that Doc and Dew (Doc and Dew, I kind of like that :D ) mention, and I'll add another one of my other favorites, the TX-9500. Retro Retro Stereo 08-07-2006, 06:52 PM you'd have to ask retro stereo(Pioneer forum mod), he's prolly gott 6 of them! :D Oh, and Bolly, don't sell me short.... :D Retro bolly 08-07-2006, 07:25 PM I meant 106!! :lmao: siamac 08-08-2006, 02:28 PM As you can see on Retro´s Avantar, you can also use TX-D1000+JA-R104  Retro Stereo 08-08-2006, 03:26 PM As you can see on Retro´s Avantar, you can also use TX-D1000+JA-R104  Hey Siamac, While I agree it is another fit as a rack component, I think the TX-D1000 is a better fit with the Blue Flouroscan components that complement the SA-9800 and SA-8800 amps. But, like you said about my avatar, I do some mixing of the SPEC and Flouroscan gear myself, so whatever works, and whatever is available will do the trick too. Retro dew042 08-08-2006, 05:02 PM Hey Siamac, While I agree it is another fit as a rack component, I think the TX-D1000 is a better fit with the Blue Flouroscan components that complement the SA-9800 and SA-8800 amps. I have one with my SA-9900. I have another D1000 sitting around and a TX-8500 II, sitting around. And a TX-9500, sitting around. Come to think about it -- I have too many tuners doing nothing ;) dew. Bogframe 08-09-2006, 05:17 AM Does anyone have scans of the TX-9800 manual? I just got mine and I think it's hooked up wrong because I can't seem to lock in a station. When I take my hand off the dial, it drifts, and that didn't happen with my TX-6800. georgedannyg 08-10-2006, 04:55 PM thanks guy for the info dew would you want to sell the tx 9500 if you would send me and email :music: kenhappen2u 08-10-2006, 05:46 PM i am currently useing my pioneer tx-9500 II with a pioneer SA -9800 i couldnt be more happy :-)~ |
