It has been a long time since I bought a CD (with the exception of hybrid SACDs) and did not anticipate buying any new CDs unless something special hit the streets...

I have a subscription to Rhapsody Music and it allows me to listen to millions of songs and thousands if albums for a monthly subscription. Anyway, I auditioned this album on Rhapsody and knew I had to have my own copy.

The album is a concert from 1975 and I believe it may also be on DVD. Anyway, if you do not own the DVD, you are in for a real treat with this two disc CD. It has great sound quality, fantastic songs (Thunder Road, Rosalita, Backstreets, etc..), and a very lively performance from Bruce & The E Street Band. :thmbsp:

The DVD is part of the 30th Anniversary Born To Run Box Set- it is phenomenal to watch from start to finish.

Thanks for the info. I have been wanting to get the Born to Run Anniversary box anyway. This gives me more reason.

How is the sound quality on Born To Run?

The only thing I miss is his banter with the audience which he did at all his shows, at least in the NY area, where most people knew of what he spoke about.

Still an awesome performance and very different than when I saw him at the Bottom Line.

Welllllll, I tried to upload a shot from the Bottom Line but it was too big a file. Bummer :tears:

The sq on the Born To Run remaster is very good. Thanks for the info, I will be adding it to my collection soon.

You're right about that, but I have the DVD not the CD so I watch it less than if I listened to it on CD. I guess I'll need to burn a copy of the CD from the DVD.

I have a copy of the Bottom Line broadcast in which Bruce tells some good stories.

It would definitely be different on DVD. I went ahead and ordered the BtR 30th box yesterday (from yourmusic), so I will judge for myself.

I am guessing a lot of people have burned it to a CD from the DVD. I just wanted the actual CD for my collection, but your way makes a lot of sense. I wonder how the DVD stereo version sounds compared to the CD version?
