Can someone tell me how you remove the silver push buttons and the knobs on a Marantz 2275. Also are they standard sizes on all the models that are interchangeable?

Don't ever remove the push button covers, you'll crack the switch shafts and you'll have a nightmare on your hands, they seldom require removal for faceplate removal. The knobs should just pull off, sometimes a spoon will help pry them loose with cardboard to protect the faceplate from marring, BTW, welcome to AK, Dave.

Yup...don't pull on the push buttons. They will break. Knobs pull straight off, but sometimes need a little leverage. There will be a brass ring underneath one of the center knobs that will have to be removed to get the faceplate off.

Have fun and welcome to AK.

Cheers,
Carl

Popsicle sticks work well for levering off the knobs.

On my 2275(with 2 broken push buttons,) the button is slightly smaller in diameter than the rest of the Marantz's I have. One from a 2270 or 2245 will not fit into the hole in the face plate. Just so's you know......Tim

I have removed Marantz (& other identical ones) push buttons and have not had a problem. I agree that under normal cleaning & manitennance, you should not need to. If you do, make sure the button is in the "OUT" position, grasp firmly w/ thumb & forefinger, and pull it straight out. DO NOT JERK IT AND DO NOT ROCK IT FROM SIDE TO SIDE. You'll likely break the switch shaft as mentioned.
