I just returned from an Estate Sale with an arm load of LP's in excellent condition.

Some Al Stewart; Joni Mitchell; Stevie Wonder (early); Emerson Lake and Palmer; The Who, Tommy; David Crosby, "If I Could Only Remember My Name."

And a couple of keepers: Puccini ( a London recording, very nice and looks to be never played).

Lester Young, "Pres and Teddy and Oscar" : This is a beautiful double LP set that looks new and from 1976 Verve Records(recordings are from sessions done in 1952-1956). This is a treasure to me. It hardly needed any cleaning and plays quiet as new. The recording is great.

Just had to share my excitement...

I've bought so many great and not so great albums at estate sales and gagrage sales I can't list them all including boxed jazz and classical music as only the record companies could make them in the 50s and 60s, with burlap covers, fancy hard cover packaging, booklets etc. - like they said - they don't make them like they used to.

Last weekend a woman gave me a whole bunch of promo albums and 45s for free after we talked about the good ol days in the music biz. PF promos, Queen, Gallagher etc. all in pristine condition.

I have about 3 feet of albums to listen to :)

The records I don't like I trade away.
