A couple of years ago, I ran across Russkishi (Russell Kishi) on the Sinatra Family Forum. We immediately hit it off because of our love for music, audio equipment, and sports. Russell helped me decide on a turntable in my budget and opened me up to classical music. He sent me my first RCA Living Stereo vinyl album and would often send me audio bargains he found in Los Angeles "vinyl emporiums" that he knew I would enjoy. He was my audio mentor.

Most importantly, he turned me on to AK, and when I joined, I included him as my referal to this site. He passed away on August 6th when he was just 53 years old and I just found out today.

May he rest in peace

Thank you all for your well wishes.

He was exactly what I believe this website is all about. Sharing the love of all things audio with others...

Sad, but uplifting in other ways. He was what this site is about. Finding new people with similar interests and sharing.

RIP.

Had he been ill? Not that I know of, but I had not heard from him in over a week before he died and I was worried about him. That was an unusual length of time for him to not send me an email, but with me in Memphis and him in California, I could not do much to find out what was going on. A member of Sinatra's website sent me an email yesterday saying that he passed away. It was a shock to everyone that knew him.
