Guys did you ever use any particular music when it came to the seduction of the fairer sex; l found in my vast experience ;) that certain music seemed to help established the mood.
Of course we all know what music inspires males when it concerns women "ANYTHING" with the exception of crap or sorry l meant rap :D .
bigmaccs list would include the following;
1. Santana instrumentals like Oye Yo Como Va
2. Leonard Cohen ( hot in the early 70's)
3. Marvin Gaye
Just curious- looking for new ideals.

For me, what works very well is Bossa Nova such as Toquinho or Vinicius de Moraes.
That usually sets the mood, along with dim lighting and white wine.

Two Words - Barry White
my own taste run more the Diana Krall, Yo-Yo Ma, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Issak, Sade...bluesy jazz or classical for a nice background sound

A remark on Wardsweb's comment on Barry.
I was reading a review of Barry's latest release a few years back, the think the title was "The Icon is Love" and the reviewer had a comment about his music. This isn't a exact quote but close -
"I wonder how many children were conceived because of Barry White's music."
Check out his 2 CD greatest hits, by about the 4th song on the 1st disc is usually enough.

CD called Stratos has Vivaldi's Summer done very well with a great thunderstorm in the back ground. Never fails for my gal. She loves thunder storms in a big way if you know what I mean.

Guys,
Will Downing & Gerald Albright's "Pleasures of the Night" is a VERY nice album. "Smooth jazz" with vocals, very well-recorded. It's definitely my recommendation for this kind of usage! :p:
Check it out here:

Very nice Thoots - even via windows media.
Good suggestions guys.
For this kind of work I like most of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David/Herb Alpert stuff. Some of the love ballads of the 70's are good too. Remember 'Midnight at the Oasis" by Maria Muldaur?

Certainly do....something like"I'll be your camel and you can be my shiek.":D I actually went to listen to Judy Collins in 73. There were some real nice vocalists and not all of them rockers. Course back in those days I would have played Blue Velvet if I thought it would help. Actually what I found that what got the young ladies going at parties the most were MoTown tunes, mainly the Supremes. Got everyone singing and having fun and the party got rolling. Towards the end of the party we were usually belting out "Demon Alcohol" by the Kinks. Early 70s was a good time to be a teen.

been around the block, eh? :D
When the sax was first getting play, parents and 'elders' were aghast at its 'sexual' context and sound!

Really full range......James Carter "The Real Quiet Storm"
He really gets after the baritone sax and bass clarinet, but talking about Gerry Mulligan his Paraisio with Jane Dubot doing vocals is a marvelous album with some fantastic percussion. The slow melincholy Bosa Nova with the rich sax of Mulligan and the soft mezza of Dubot combined with high tinkling of bells gives you a very wide range of sound with all of it separate but tightly meshed into the South American rythm.
My favorite desert is ice cold mango over steaming hot sticky rice that was cooked in sweetened coconut milk. You get hot/cold hard/soft sweet/sour all distinct, all separate and all at the same time. Yea........

Yes, couple times around the block. Counts for nothing in the big scheme of things. Thatch has also been around the block, and obviously didn't pack enough water on one trip. Although I can easily draw the parallels between great steamy Brazilian jazz, and a piece of mango. Hey Thatch, the old Airto Moreira albums. How about those? "Virgin Land" and "Fingers". Sidemen on those were awesome. David Amaro guitar, and the Fattoruso Bros., Jorge & Hugo, drums and keyboards. Stuff has mango ALL OVER IT! Just as good, if not BETTER, than the fusion peers of the period (Weather Report, Return to Forever, Cobham, Headhunters). There is just something about that damn Brazilian jazz rock. Eumir Deodato's first few albums were great also.
Then there are the Brazilian women. I don't want to get into it, I'll just ruin my own damn day...if you catch my drift.

Saw Aierto on stage as opening act for Zappa in a college gym. Good show.
Great music is like any other sensual thing. Opposite sensations can often do little by themselves but wonders side by side. The cold sour mango was not as good without the hot sweet rice. Thor put the lotion down.
Music fast/slow notes high/low, soft,sharp ,etc.......
Why do I not like rap?

That is fantastic. Airto and Frank on the same stage same night. Everybody I ever saw open for The Mothers was terrible. Except for The Persuasions at Carnegie Hall in 1971.
Man I am jealous. I saw The Mothers at two different universities. Stonybrook, New York in 1971 (Flo & Eddie band), and Princeton, Zoo Jersey 1973 or so (the Overnight Sensation, Live at The Roxy band). I don't think anybody opened for them at either show. Gymnasiums are definitely acoustically and sonically lacking. Immediately prior to, or right after the Princeton show, I saw the same band at Long Island's Commack Arena. This was an ice skating rink! Our "seats" were 3/4" sheets of plywood laid on the ice. Lot of concern shown on the part of the promoter, after about an hour of sitting on the plywood, all the heat had been sucked out of everyones bodies.

It was the Apostrophe tour and Arieto was really fantastic. I think he played up to 4 intstruments every tune with I don't know how many in total. Really cool things from the peoples of the rain forests. I really enjoyed it. And 50' from stage even sitting on a gymn floor wasn't too bad.
I saw Judy Blue Eyes sing there as well as a lot of other great talents.

My music seductive aid in my arsenal? ... Oh...
I just wish I could find a copy of the club extended version of "Sexual" by Amber. I have no idea if it is an audio pheromone to females. The last CD I bought was "Morning View" - Incubus late last fall...now that I mention it, I haven't heard much from them since.
Yes ..I have listened...and CD recorded songs from the "Quiet Storm" on WBLK, Buffalo on a rare Sunday night.
I do tend to agree with Chris Kelly with respect to dancing however. I suspect it is more cultural in Chile than here.
In my experience, a guy who dances can make a girl feel sexy and erotic, as well as desired. The art is in making it a tantalizing experience for a female. It is all in the hip movement. Dancing is just good, clean fun. It is a purely erotic and sensual action that allows you to be free with your body and your date's body without being frisky. It's good exercise and worth hours of enjoyment (both during and after.)
I know what you are all thinking; " I don't know how to dance and when I do, I look stupid....dancing is stupid". Learning to dance is not as difficult as it may seem...You are NOT Gene Kelly, Swayze or Banderas, …and no one expects you to be.
In a few lessons you learn the basics: cha cha, mambo, Salsa, hustle and swing then you get crazy mirroring the dance scenes in movies like Bacon in Footloose.
I like to move to music so why not polish those moves.
...Back to the point. You guys have excellent taste in music ...some I have never heard of.
Curious, do girls really melt to some songs?

Music is a detail that can help or hurt your seduction. Well seduction hell! Any woman that does not want you forget it, and any one that does you stand little chance.
Music , wine, food and conversation might help sway a fence straddler but any half way smart woman will have you jumping through hoops you didn't know existed if she wants.

Foreplay starts long before the bedroom. Thatch Ear and Audio Lancelot caught my eye when reading this thread. Why? They were interested in what pleases the woman. Big Turn On!
:boink:
I'll give the music list some thought and add later, but I just wanted to jump in for a sec!

I think that it was logically assumed by most on here that the thread was conjecture/jest not a accepted theory...that a female would surrender so to speak to merely music. It is the millennium. However it is interesting to see other's interest in romantic music and the various perceptions. I personally do not have the extensive music aquaintance and breadth of self-knowledge as some on here. My preference of a romantic song is Rough Boy by ZZ Top..certain to be not in the class, taste or definition of the experienced on here.
I and a few others hoped that we could keep the thread alive ...trolling with controversial taunts.... I am surprised I have not seen more bashing on my dancing input...certain that it was ill received by some.
As to a big turn on...no I am not a ...Lester the Molester...do not peek in ladies windows ...
However now that you mention turn ons...
Angela, we await your perceptive input.
