What is the ideal room placement for Cornwalls? Do they like corners? How far from the back wall and/or side wall? How far apart from each other is optimal?

Thanks!

John

In a paper in "Dope from Hope", Paul Klipsch recommended placing Cornwalls in the corners of a room, firing out at 45 degrees (just like Klipschorns).

I'm running mine that way against my 14' short wall (the back edges against the baseboards), and it sounds great.

Since recently purchasing my first Klipsch speakers (KG4s), and being very satisfied with their performance, I believe that the best placement tor your Cornwalls would be in MY living room. I'll PM you my address, and you can deliver them at your convenience! :D (They're on my wish list)

umm, Jon, they're called Cornwalls 'cause they can be placed in the CORNer or on the WALL. PWK wasn't naming them after southwest England! :-)

I have mine in corners; due to spousal considerations, mine are the corners on a short wall, but the long wall is preferable I do believe.

They like large spaces.

I feel so bad becuase I was the one who suggested rearranging the listening area, and then left for home.

When you mean on the wall you mean literally right up against the wall?

Yes, they were 'meant' to be placed against the wall.

If one had a room big enough, it might be very interesting indeed to pull them out from the walls and corners and position them like modern, boutique speakers.

I do not have such a room.
