I just had Digital Cable installed and now my TV looks like crap!

It's got purples and greens bleeding through the corners which I never had before!

I wasn't here when it was installed otherwise I wouldn't have let the guy leave.
It just seems to much of a coincidence that the TV starts to go right when they install the box.
Dammit! I was happy with just straight cable the way it was but Comcast called up and offered this package deal and my wife bit for it and now, I got more friggin problems!
All I see now is $$... another TV in my future.

Do you think it's the cable or my TV?

Hook up an antenna and see if your picture returns to what it was. That will be your answer. Good Luck!

Are you sure the TV was not exposed to a somewhat strong magnetic field? Speakers come to mind... If so, with repeated daily on/off cycles it should degauss and clear off in a few days.

Yup, got home last night and my kids told me the problem cleared up. Whew!
Carry on, all is well.

You know what... I did move one of my speakers out of the way for the cable guy to work and put it right in front of the TV and then put it back where it always was (about 2' to the side of the TV) when he was done.

It could have been the speaker... never thought of that.
