View Full Version : Ode to husband
Mrs.macaltec 09-06-2006, 08:01 PM My daughter wanted me to write poems with her this evening and I (as well as macaltec) liked this one so much I thought I'd share.....
The Dad loves his speakers
Almost as much as the mom's "cheekers"
All we hear is Boom, Boom, Boom
Coming from the upstairs room
While he listens, he likes to type
AudioKarma left and right
The site keeps him busy
But tends to make the wife dizzy
He also likes his cell phone
In his truck, at work, and at home
Talking to Bill and Rich
Making his wife bitch, bitch, bitch
So as you can see
These are the three
Main loves of his life
And take notice, it isn't the WIFE!!!

Doesn't get more truthful than that for most addicts I'm afraid.
WhiteSE 09-06-2006, 08:05 PM LOL..that is very funny!
Negotiableterms 09-06-2006, 08:07 PM Welcome to AK!
Great poem, too, but I venture to guess that the fact that your family sits down and enjoys each other like that means there's a lot of real love in your home, way beyond speakers.
macaltec 09-06-2006, 08:18 PM Dang it, did you forget to take your meds again? :D
ejfud 09-06-2006, 08:24 PM Classic!

ekmanning5 09-06-2006, 09:43 PM This site just keeps getting better and better. Well done! :D

MarkAnderson 09-06-2006, 10:04 PM Now I don't think that's true Mrs. Mac. I'd bet dollars to donuts that you come before the cell phone (and Bill and Rich).
As for speakers and AK? I'm not going there... :D
wajobu 09-06-2006, 10:10 PM Welcome, welcome!!
Very nice cutting stuff, but very sweet at the same time.
True love.
cabinover 09-07-2006, 05:37 AM You have an upstairs room? I have to bargain with the family for living room time!
macaltec 09-07-2006, 09:57 AM The sound room used to be where our bedroom is. Had to make room for the second kid. She insisted that I move upstairs with the audio obsession. So why is she complaining?

Didn't sound so much like a complaint as an observation...
yamahammer 09-07-2006, 11:39 AM like i always tell my wife my first obsession cost a couple 100 thousands of dollars so what is 5 thousand at the most ?????
macaltec 09-07-2006, 12:45 PM Didn't sound so much like a complaint as an observation...
I was refering to the "bitch, bitch, bitch" part. Jokingly of course. Mrs. m, if you're looking 143  .
dgwojo 09-07-2006, 10:35 PM I think Mr MacAltec needs more speakers like me, my wife loves them!! :music:
