Just FYI - If you've got Earthlink Spamblocker and you're registering with AK as a new member, you're probably going to miss the registration confirmation email that comes from the site, as well existing members that have this feature activated will miss being emailed on Private Messages and site directed emails, so please remember to set it to allow emails from audiokarma.org addresses.

I'll go check the new registrations that are stuck in process, to see if any are on earthlink.

Thanks, for the heads-up.

For those of us that are software illiterate how do we set this to assure we get the emails? I have had no problems thus far but then you never know.

Cant help ya since its something done on earthlinks side. Most likely its a stupid little form or box saying allow email from audiokarma.org.

Earthlink expects us to fill out a form on our end for each and every person using their service. That ain't gonna happen..

Of 546 people, whose registration is incomplete, only 4 are with Earthlink, and I sent them emails, personally, so those may get through.

I use Earthlink spamblocker. If you don't know anything about it, don't worry, by default it allows everything into your inbox.

With Earthlink, you can either 1.) block SPECIFIC addresses and/or servers, or 2.) have everything diverted to a "suspect email" folder unless you've already got the sender's address as a contact in your address book.

If you're using the first option, you again have nothing to worry about unless you've explicitly told it to block AK some time in the past.

If you're using the second option, simply go to your Suspect Email folder, find the message from AK, click on the check-mark box to the left of the message and go to the button near the top of the folder by the message that says "Move to Inbox & Add Contact", and click on it. The message should then move to your inbox and you can do whatever you want with it.

Of course, also under the second option, If the AK incoming address format changes any and you're all of a sudden not getting e-mails again, you will have to do the above procedure over again to re-add AK to your address book

I'm still getting a lot of these messages from people with questions about their accounts, etc.

Make sure you unblock audiokarma@aol.com if you want to correspond with me. Thanks.

Folks this is still a problem. Earthlink will not allow any emails through to their recipient unless you add them. We will not click on that ridiculous link every single time someone needs to reach an earthlink member...

This can easily be handled by each member if they know what's going on - admins shouldn't have to do anything.

Unless someone has specifically told earthlink to block the address (or even the entire AK domain), even if they've enabled the spamblocker the messages STILL GET THROUGH - they just show up in the alternate "suspect email" folder. People can read their messages from that folder just the same as if it were their normal inbox. Then if they need to respond, it should be up to the recipient to add them, NOT the server admin.
