I recently just bought boston Acoustic VR500, for 50 bucks, this thing really sounds good, and goes very low with NO distortion whatsoever, and sounds awsumb teamed with infinity beta 50's 4-20's and beta center channel, does anyone have any info on the power it puts out and what it costs new, it is very well made--very large size amp and a heavy cast framed 10 inch driver, not sure when it was made? maybe 1999 or so? Is 50 bucks worth it? thanx in advance for your input! so far i love it(well made product)  the bird

I think 50 bucks for any 10" powered sub is worth it. I've never seen a 10" powered sub, new, for anything less than 300$.

The VR500 was a great sub & sold for well in excess of what you paid.

IIRC, when they replaced the VR500 with the PV500, it was a re-skin, not re-engineer.

You did great!
