Hello guys!
I just got a new Marantz 1060 - it arrived today and it took me many months to find. It's completely mint, schematics and manual is included. I uncovered the unit and sprayed the contacts and knobs with DeoxIt. Then I connected the amp to some crap-speakers I keep to test the vintage - I don't wanna hurt the speakers in my setup before I'm sure everything's gonna be OK. And, yeah, it sounded pretty good...but I will be making some more tests later, that's not a point of my today's post. :music:
The thing is, when I shutted down the amp, it kept playing for next 20 seconds (or so...). My Pioneer Amp also plays when I shut it down, but never longer than 2 sec or less. If I keep the tuner on and I even unplug the 1060 from the wall, it still plays for what I call a suspiciously long time. I had quite a few vintage amps, but I've never encountered this behaviour. Is that normal for 1060? Or any idea what's wrong? :scratch2:
