Check out this cool real time analyzer and signal generator package available as free shareware. It uses your sound card and can output sweep and noise signals into an object or system to test and then do an FFT spectral analysis or a time domain analysis (to determine room echoes for example). I just downloaded the new beta package and have started to experiment with it. It crashed once harmlessly but doesn't seem to have a time-out which is big plus. Even purchasing the unlocking key for the commercial version is quite inexpensive. It is a ~1.5 MB download.

I want to try and use this to sweep my listening room with my new horns and sound absorbers now in place.

BTW, now that I have had time to 'play' I've discovered that it is very unstable and crashes a lot. :mad: It also does have a timeout. Perhaps the earlier version is better. This was the beta version of the 2nd edition I tried thinking it would be more advanced.
