Stupid question about Marantz 140

I am waiting for a Marantz 140 I bought this week. I've only seen pictures and here's my stupid question. Where is the power button? Does one of the gain knobs act as the power or it powers up when plugged, hence it should be pluged to the switched outlet of a pre-amp?

Right! No power button on the 140 or 240. Connect it to the pre-amp. Or use a separate switched power strip for all components. This saves the life of your pre-amp power switch

Fancier than a power strip, use one of those computer power centers that sit under your monitor and have the lighted rocker switches - then you can control each component individually.
