Some guy on ebay says he's got 100 TDK MA-XG 90 minute metal tapes and he's selling them for $15.00 each,i remember these were great tapes but are they really worth $15.00 each?I also noticed no one has bought any yet so maybe that answers my question.Good tapes yes, $15.00 each i don't know? Thanks and Peace..Keith H..

JEEZUS that's more expensive than the high NZ prices !
I would say no they are not worth it.
In your adjustable Teac 8030 the standard TDK MA metal should perform just as well.

No way are they worth $15 each! IMO, anyone who would pay that much for any blank cassette is a fool.

maybe.....just maybe ..about 15 years ago they might have come close to that!!!
Over the years I've bought hundreds of new cassettes, including many "Metal" formulation tapes and have never paid even close to $15 for one. That may be close to "LIST" but I have seen few places that ever sold for full list price.
I used to pay $10 - $12 for quality 1-mil reel-to-reel tape but I don't think I have ever paid more than $6 for even the best cassette. Either I know how to shop or else prices are much higher in your vicinity.

I have quite a few "pre-owned" Maxell and TDK metal tapes. I will part with them for very little cash + shipping. PM me if you are remotely interested.

Nice packaging but there is no way in today's market that I would pay more than $6 for the best tape available in the whole world (on cassette). Spend some money in a great tape deck and then use mid price tapes, you will get much better results that way.
